Henry Slade Bio

Born on 19 March 1993 in Plymouth, Henry Slade was a part of the Exeter Chiefs Academy as a youth. During his younger years, he represented England at U18 and U20 level and he was also a part of the side that won the IRB Junior World Championship title in 2013.

In his first professional season in 2011, Henry Slade was dual-registered with both the Chiefs and Plymouth Albion, with the former being the club he would go on to represent when making his Premiership debut in November 2012.

Since then, Henry Slade has established himself as a regular starter for the Exeter Chiefs and he’s now appeared in more than 200 matches for the side. During this time, he’s won many honours, including multiple Premiership Rugby titles and a European Rugby Champions Cup

On an international level, Henry Slade earned his first England cap in 2015, when he played against France at Twickenham in a Rugby World Cup warm up game. He was then named in coach Stuart Lancaster's squad for the 2015 tournament.

Since then, Henry Slade has been capped by England more than 70 times. He’s won multiple Six Nations Championships with England and also played for his country in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final.

Still very much in his prime, Henry Slade has a lot to offer for both Exeter Chiefs and England.
