Melvyn Jaminet Bio

Melvyn Jaminet is a versatile French rugby union player who began his professional career as a fly half for Perpignan in 2019. He then moved to Toulouse in 2022, where he operated as a left wing. A year later, he moved to Toulon, where he played as a fullback. In 2021 he made his debut for the French national team, also as a fullback.

Born 30 June 1999 in Hyères, France, Jaminet’s senior career started in 2019 when he joined Perpignan as a fly half. He remained at the club for three years before moving to Top 14 club Toulouse, where he operated as a left wing. However, he only stayed at Toulouse for one year and he moved to RC Toulon in 2023. He’s since played at fullback.

In June 2021, Fabien Galthié accredited Jaminet’s skills and called him up to the French national team for the Australia summer tour. Throughout 2021, Jaminet was able to showcase his metronomic kicking ability. Out of 37 goal kicks he attempted for France in 2021, he converted 34 - an impressive feat for any player.

In 2022, Jaminet played in his first Six Nations. In September 2023, during the 2023 Rugby World Cup, he scored his first try for France in a match against New Zealand. Two weeks later, he scored his second international try in a match against Namibia

Melvyn Jaminet has impressed with his kicking abilities throughout his career and we’re excited to see what the future holds for this exciting fullback.
