Ben Youngs Bio

Born 5 September 1989, Ben Youngs is a member of a rugby-playing family. His dad (Nick Youngs) and his brother (Tom Youngs) also both represented Leicester and England.

As a result, it came as no surprise when Ben Youngs joined the Leicester Academy in 2006. He then stayed with the club for the entirety of his career, making more than 300 appearances for the side and winning five Premiership Rugby titles in the process.

On the international stage, Ben Youngs was capped more than 100 times by his country. When he received his 100th cap, he was only the second person to reach this landmark, after Jason Leonard. He retired from international duty in 2023, when England were eliminated from the Rugby World Cup at the semi-final stage.

By the time he retired from international duty, Ben Youngs had won 127 caps and was England’s most-capped player of all-time. He’d also won the Six Nations Championship four times (including a Grand Slam in 2016) and represented his country in a Rugby World Cup final.

Ben Youngs’ professional career may have come to a close, but he still has plenty to offer the game he loves. We can’t wait to see what he does next.
