Cyril Baille Bio

Cyril Baille is a powerful loosehead prop who began playing rugby at age 11. He joined the Toulouse training squad in 2009 and has been playing professionally for the team since 2012. Baille has also represented France in the same position since 2016.

Born in Pau, France on 15 September 1993, Cyril Baille ended his aspirations as a football player at 11 years old and began playing rugby for his local club, CA Lannemezan, instead. At 16 he started training with Toulouse and three years later, he became part of the senior squad for the 2012-13 season.

His excellent display of strength gained him a regular position in the team, and he made an impressive 17 appearances during his first full season. His talents were clear and, in 2013, he was called up to the France U20 team.

By 2016, Baille was part of the France national team, coming off the bench in his test debut against Samoa and earning his first start a week later, in a match against Australia

In 2017, Cyril Baille became a regular for both Toulouse and France, appearing in all five of France’s matches during the Six Nations. In 2019, he joined France for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, and appeared in four matches. Baille was also part of the 2021 French squad that defeated New Zealand for the first time since 2009.

To date, he’s also made almost 200 appearances for Toulouse. Domestically, he’s won both the European Rugby Champions Cup and the Top 14 on multiple occasions.

Cyril Baille has given some outstanding performances throughout his career with both France and Toulouse. We can’t wait to see more from this talented prop.
