Well. The scoreline is a bit flattering for the hosts. The Lions were far more dominant.
I can’t see Australia bouncing back more than I can see the Lions being more clinical in finishing and putting more points on the board next time out.
Gibson Park and Finn Russell are a formidable pairing. The Lions backline hummed when they had the chances.
I’d bring van der Merwe on for Louw next week. He gets used a fair amount by the Scot’s as a battering ram - almost like an extra loose forward - to score when the defence is on the ropes on the line. Which is where the Lions lost out in two tries (held up).
Freeman and Keenan looked a bit suspect at the back at times. Maybe a new back three combination?
I’d drop a few of the English forwards and bring in a few Scot’s and the rest of the Irish and finish the series in style next week.
Apart from that the rest of the team looked pretty good.
