Welcome to the Ladies section of our website

Training has now commenced for the 2008/9 season and is held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7.00 pm.

MATCH REPORTS WILL BE POSTED TO THE LADIES FORUM IN RATHDRUM RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB CHAT

Rathdrum Ladies Rugby Team was started in 2006 and continues to be the only senior women’s rugby team in Co. Wicklow. Fondly known as the Drumettes, the girls have really embedded themselves into the heart of Rathdrum Rugby Club. Boasting girls from all over the county, the Drumettes have more then held their own over their first two seasons competing in the Leinster Development League.

To get a more informed view of the culture of our gutsy ladies, check out their Bebo page or check out rathdrumrugby.com’s pre-season interview with new team captain, Sue Brady.

Rathdrum Rugby Club has a proud tradition of being involved with Ladies Rugby with members, Germaine Healy and Sarah Jane Belton both having captained Ireland’s Ladies team.

PLAYER INFORMATION

Insurance & Physiotherapy
Players are only insured when they have paid their membership fees in full. Injuries are to be treated without delay. The club insurance policy is very limited and players are asked to take out private insurance cover. Remedial sports massage will be available at games where possible and players requiring additional physiotherapy do so at their own expense.

Professional Standards
Players are required to take a professional approach to all aspects of our teams, both on and off the field. How we portray ourselves reflects both on the individual and the club as a whole.
Time keeping is very important. Times given are times we are required to depart and not assembly times, unless otherwise stated. Be ahead of times on all occasions.
Communication needs to be crystal clear. You must inform management if there are issues that may effect match day preparation so this can be catered for.

Dress Code
Standard of dress is particularly important for team image. Ensure that you wear the correct clothes at all times.
Training Jerseys to be worn at Training Sessions
Club Tracksuits worn to and before match fixtures
Club polo shirts after games.
Clean boots, shorts and socks for games.
